My name's Randy and I do custom picture framing in my basement. I set up this web site originally in February-March 2009. The original site had a bunch of hand-coded HTML with tables and some fancy stuff (well, fancy for 2009), which I was pretty pleased with.. Much of the motivation for building the site in the first place was to prove to myself that I could do manual coding/formatting without relying on templates or automated tools. That site lasted a lot of years, but I've now re-worked and re-formatted things (essentially starting over) in September-October 2022. These pages are now very much template-driven, and viewable on desktop and mobile devices. I figure I've got nothing left to prove (to myself), and the new site is way easier to maintain and update!
I called my business "RudiFrame" because I thought it evoked an accurate combination of things that applied to my setup: unsophisticated (not to say, you know, rudimentary) equipment, along with my prickly demeanor and low tolerance for deadlines, and general reputation for rudeness, I guess-- although lately there are those who'd claim I've mellowed considerably, with age. :)
The "Portfolio" section (under construction) is for a bunch of photos of frame jobs I've done. There's a page called "Blah blah blah" that describes some detail about the framing process and some stuff I've learned about setting up and mainting a small business, in case anybody's interested in any of that.
Finally the "Travel Photos" section has nothing to do with my framing business, but is a convenient place to access links to my Google Photos web albums with organized slide shows from a bunch of trips I've taken.
I welcome feedback or suggestions; my email address is on the "Contact" page.
